A dupe is a cheap fragrance made to smell like an expensive one. It is not a counterfeit — it uses its own name and bottle, and it is legal to buy and sell. Armaf's Club de Nuit Intense Man is the famous one: a small fraction of the price of Creed Aventus, and close enough that plenty of people stopped buying the Creed.
Most are not that close. Cheaper materials tend to show in the opening and in how long it lasts, so every pair here says how the dupe differs rather than giving it a percentage. We map 535 dupes to 267 originals, and each pair comes from someone who owned both and wrote about it — not from matching ingredient lists, which cannot tell a real dupe from a coincidence.
