Un Bois Vanille — a vanilla wood — launched in 2003 and has remained one of the most beloved women's fragrances from Lutens. Warm, enveloping, and rich with coconut, sandalwood, and deep vanilla, it is built for cold weather and close comfort.
Top notes of cinnamon, pink pepper, and jasmine open with warmth. A hint of wheat adds a slightly bready quality. It is welcoming and immediate from the first spray.
Coconut and beeswax dominate the heart, with sandalwood and licorice underneath. The coconut is creamy rather than tropical. Licorice adds an anise sweetness that makes the accord more complex than a straightforward gourmand.
