Cinnamon Leaf

Cinnamon leaf oil has a distinctly different character from cinnamon bark oil. Where bark is sweet and warmly spicy, the leaf oil is sharper, more clove-like, and less sweet with a stronger eugenol content.

In perfumery, cinnamon leaf adds a crisp, spicy-herbal warmth that is less gourmand and more aromatic than bark cinnamon. It works well in masculine and aromatic compositions where a drier, sharper spice note is desired.
