Bulgarian Rose

Bulgarian rose, primarily the Rosa damascena variety grown in the Valley of Roses near Kazanlak, is one of the most prized and expensive natural rose materials in perfumery. The unique terroir of this Bulgarian valley produces roses with an exceptionally rich, spicy, and honeyed scent that is deeper and more complex than roses from other regions.

Each year, tons of rose petals are hand-picked at dawn during a brief harvest season to produce this precious oil. Bulgarian rose adds an incomparable depth and richness to floral compositions.

It pairs beautifully with oud for a luxurious combination, with patchouli for modern warmth, with saffron for exotic elegance, and with musk for an intimate floral skin scent.
